We've known for a long time our healthcare system is broken. It is cruel, costly, and morally depraved. The pandemic and the fight for racial justice are allowing more and more people to see that too. We've been saying for a long time that single payer is the first step in securing a fair and just healthcare system.
ISPC has two educational presentations ready to go:
1. Racial Inequities in Healthcare: discusses our current system including the racial inequities present, the history of our healthcare system, and how single payer can reduce racial inequities.
2. Fighting COVID-19: this presentation discusses the pandemic threat, the response of the U.S. health system, and how a Single Payer response could be better.
We are showcasing both these presentations Thursday evening, 6-7:30pm. Come check them out! Sarah Agamah and Dr Sobia Ansari will be presenting Racial Inequities in Healthcare. Kathryn Kaintz and Emily Hall will be presenting Fighting COVID-19.
