Covid 19 is surging throughout the world!  Countries have handled the virus with varying degrees of success.

In the U.S. deficiencies unique to our healthcare system have resulted in millions losing their health care coverage, hospitals laying off essential healthcare workers due to crumbling finances, state competition for essential supplies, and virus survivers facing catastrophic medical bills!  These deficiencies, along with serious infections and deaths, have taken an outsized toll on people of color.  Did it have to be this way?
